How We Help

Food Distribution

Food Bank

Canned and packaged food that is collected through Feeding America and from bulk food providers as well as community food drives.

Fresh Food

Food that is rescued from local grocery stores, like Albertson’s, Fresh & Easy, Smith’s Food & Drug, Target and more. Each weekday Three Square drivers visit local stores to gather donated fresh vegetables, milk, meat, cheese and bakery items.

Meals

Three Square added a meal component to its food offering in June 2009. The prepared meal program provides a nutritional balance between prepared and the freshest food products.

Community Engagement

A warm, friendly place for people to meet, volunteer and engage to be a part of the hunger solution

Research & Advocacy

Three Square investigates how to better serve low-income residents of Southern Nevada by working with research teams and leaders at the city, county, state and federal level to build creative partnerships and strengthen the social safety net.

Childhood Nutrition

“BackPacks for Kids” Program

Thousands of children’s backpacks are filled every Friday with nutritious and non-perishable food for the weekend. Three Square is working with collaborative partners to expand the program school-district wide.

“Summer Food Service Program” (SFSP)

Three Square has developed a program that will provide children with food during the summer when they are not in school. The program began in June 2009.
